About
the artist
Carol Kenny has
always been a ‘crafter’ ever since she learned to knit at her
grandmother’s knee at the age of 4yr.
During her school years, accolades (some external) were earned
in the arts and crafts lessons. After making her first dance dress at
11yrs, Carol continued making dresses for family and friends. Later on, as a mother, a professional and a hobbyist, she
developed artistic skills in other areas (tailoring, embroidery, sketching
and computer graphics). - Thus
producing a rich and experienced background for her current creative work.
 Nowadays,
as a cottage industry, the focus is on crafts in wool and paper (from
sheep and trees!). Carol
loves both mediums, loves to
design and loves to craft. She
is inspired by love and friendship, by nature and by her precious ginger
cats.
Hand-crafted Greetings cards
All
the card designs are by Carol herself – there are no card-making kits
used. Designs are simple
(many monochromatic or monotone) serving as a backdrop to more intricate
techniques A speciality of
‘Sheeptrees crafts’ is the use of cat images (sketched, painted,
photographed and silhouetted)
Each
card is:-

A5
(21 x 15cm) in size, has the
logo and a mini image on the back

Has a paper insert
with text and images
-
usually made in
batches of 10 to 12
-
is professionally
presented in a cello bag,, with a quality envelope.

is posted out to
customers in protective, padded packets.
A
limited number of commissions may be taken
Hand
crafted knitting and crotchet
Carol has a
life-time’s collection of wool and yarns and just a scan of the 50 +
boxes of wool can
also inspire her design. Like
a true professional, the design process will incorporate, sample pieces
and pattern writing before proceeding with the final article.
The actual printed patterns are also for sale.
A quirk of the artist, revealing her fun-loving side, is that she
names all her pieces of work!
