How does it work?

It is quite simple - you pay, we advertise your products and if depending on your chosen package we sell the items for you.

With all members helping to advertise their own craft pages it encourages potential customers onto the site, which encourages them to buy your products and hopefully other members products as well. Obviously this works both ways. 

With so much internet fraud nowadays, customers are more likely to buy from shop stores rather than individual web sites.

Your membership fee goes towards the designing of your pages, advertising costs, merchant bank fees and administration fees.

Your yearly membership fee is inclusive of all your pages being designed and online for a year. There are no other hidden fees or extra costs.

Members of membership package B, who deliver worldwide will also be included on our affiliate site, www.walkaboutcrafts.com, at no extra charge.

Your own personal web site will only be listed in exchange for our link being placed on your site. 

The reason is that the site is designed to encourage customers, we do not wish it to turn into a directory which will take away business from our members.

When an item sells it will go via our merchant banker. We will inform you of customers delivery address and arrange how you wish to be paid i.e. via cheque / paypal. You will be required to adhere to our refund / replacement policies (as listed on the how to order page) Unless your own specific requirements have been displayed on your web pages.

We do not charge commission. We do however deduct the merchant banker fees on individual orders over £50.

We inform the customer when an item has been dispatched and if there are any problems they come via English-Crafts first.

You have two options you can have your mail directed via ourselves and forwarded to your own e-mail or by telephone. Or if you have an e-mail but do not wish it to be published then we can code it for you (as all e-mails on the site are) which prevents spam mail.

No, the point of English-Crafts is that you can have your own mini web site within our site. 

In any case, I have members who have their own web sites and customers are using the links to come to English-Crafts to buy their products. With so much internet fraud nowadays, customers are more likely to buy from shop stores rather than individual web sites.

No, customers buy all products through our own merchant banker, and we can pay you via cheque or through your own paypal account, if you have one.

No problem, we offer a e-mail forwarding service, customers can contact you via us and we will forward by e-mail or telephone.

Your address need not be published, infact very few do publish their address.

If you wish you can also use our address for the return sender mail when sending out orders.

I do require your full contact details on the application form but this is for my own personal records - I do not disclose any personal information, even to other members.

For each package you are allowed a certain limit, however, the amount is for every different item, we will assume that you have more than one (unless told otherwise) and keep listing until you wish item to be removed or changed. If you are selling items that come in different colours / sizes then these are counted as one item i.e. Teddy Bear in small, medium or large, in red, blue or green etc.
If you are adding an image of yourself in the about me section (which is recommended as it gives the customers a personal touch) then this is not included in your amount of images.
You can change / remove items whenever you wish.

It is entirely up to you what you sell on your pages - many crafters do two or three different crafts.
If you do a selection of crafts then it is advisable to keep them all on the one page.
If you do two entirely different crafts i.e. jewellery and paintings then usually I will separate your shop into two sub shops - this will be the same cost as one and makes it easier for customers to navigate.
